Questions about rokiroki

Practical answers about the subscription and everyday use of rokiroki. You can try it with your own files during the free trial month.

What is rokiroki?

rokiroki is a Dutch online image library made by Online Slimmerik. Organisations use it to store, find and share photos, videos and presentations. It runs in your browser, with folders, collections and user roles. This is also known as Digital Asset Management, or DAM. Explore the features.

How much does rokiroki cost?

The subscription costs €2,995 per year, excluding VAT, for your whole organisation. Users, all features, training and nightly backups are included. View the subscription.

What does unlimited storage mean?

The subscription is for the image and media files your organisation works with. As your archive grows, we can discuss extending its storage. Fair use applies: rokiroki is not a service for complete computer or server backups. The maximum size of a single file is 1 GB. Read about storage.

Which files can I upload?

You can store photos and images, videos and presentations, including PowerPoint files such as PPTX and Keynote files. The original file is preserved. Preview options vary by format. See the supported formats.

HEIC photos are not supported yet. Convert them to a supported format such as JPEG first; renaming a file does not convert it.

Can I search without describing every photo myself?

Yes. With AI enabled, rokiroki creates descriptions and tags in English and Dutch. These let you search for what is in a photograph. You can add names, locations and other context yourself. AI can make mistakes, so check details that matter to your team. Read about smart search.

Can I turn AI off?

Yes. AI can be disabled for your organisation. You can still search the titles, tags and photographer details stored in the library. Automatic descriptions use Google Gemini, which may process images outside the EU. Read more about AI.

Do recipients need an account?

No. Share an image, folder or collection through a link. The recipient opens a page with your logo and colour. A link can be password protected and withdrawn later. Explore sharing options.

How do I keep track of consent for portraits?

Consent management links people and their consent records to images. When enabled, it stops images from appearing on sharing links if a linked person does not have valid recorded consent for external use. You make the links yourself; images with no linked people are outside this check. Read about image permissions and consent.

Can I keep my existing folder structure?

Yes. Upload folders from your computer and keep their structure. Download files from SharePoint or Google Drive first; rokiroki does not synchronise directly with those services. Start with one folder and expand when you are ready. Read the switching guide.

Is rokiroki a public image library or photo sales site?

No. rokiroki is for managing your organisation’s own images and sharing selections. It is not a public search portal, stock photo shop or photo editor. For museums, it does not replace a collections management system. Read when DAM software is useful.
